Parcours professionnel

Après avoir été sabreur international en équipe de France d’escrime, le Dr Olivier CELHAY s’est consacré à la chirurgie Urologique depuis 2004,
Après un premier et deuxième cycle à l’Université de Bordeaux 2 de 1998 à 2004, le Dr Celhay a réalisé un troisième cycle spécialisé en chirurgie Urologique à l’Université de Poitiers jusqu’en 2010, avec un échange d’une année à l’université de Tours pour apprendre la chirurgie robotique en 2007.
Ces années lui ont permis de développer un investissement universitaire au sein de l’Association Française d’Urologie et des Urologues en Formation, avec deux mandats de représentant auprès de Collège National d’Urologie à Paris, et également une participation en recherche en transplantation rénale au sein de l’unité INSERM ischémie-reperfusion de Poitiers.

Parallèlement, il prépare une carrière Hospitalo-Universitaire en réalisant un parcours de science fondamentale biologique avec un Master 1 à l’institut Bergonié de Bordeaux, Master 2 de sciences chirurgicales partagé entre Paris et Poitiers, un Doctorat de sciences biologiques à l’université d’Auvergne de Clermont-Ferrand. Après une pré-audition au Conseil National Universitaire, et un projet de post-Doctorat à Vancouver au Canada financé par la Fondation des Hôpitaux de France, s’offre alors la possibilité en 2017 de mettre à disposition l’ensemble de son savoir en créant avec le Dr Pasticier le groupe Urologie Bordeaux Saint-Gatien. Le Dr Celhay y poursuit depuis ses activités de soin, de recherche et d’enseignement.

Depuis 2018, il collabore à une activité de soin pluridisciplinaire spécialisée sur l’Endométriose à l’invitation de l’institut Franco-Européen Multidisciplinaire d’endométriose (IFEM). En partenariat avec le laboratoire Karl Storz depuis 2018, il introduit en France la technique d’énucléation prostatique au Plasma BIPOLEP, et assure depuis des enseignements et chirurgies live en tant que centre de formation parmi les trois centre agrées en France.

Le Dr Celhay propose également la prise en charge chirurgicale des douleurs chroniques de névralgies pudendales et névralgies clunéales par syndrome canalaire, suite à la création d’une technique chirurgicale de décompression par voie robotique abdominale. Des consultations dédiées sont proposées sur son Doctolib.
